Need more information about the triathlon club? Feel free to contact one of our officers. Their names, email addresses and duties are listed below. If you're still not sure who you should contact, email triclub@msu.edu and we'll make sure it gets to the right person. President - Alex Douglass (dougl122@msu.edu) The president's task are numerous and complex, and, frankly, far beyond your comprehension. Actually, the president is responsible for ensuring that MSU Triathlon stays at the top of the collegiate triathlon pecking order. The position requires a balance of growing membership, maintaining the budget, focusing training and executing team events. The work of our dedicated presidents past and present puts MSU Triathlon in a position to win races, recruit new members and attract new sponsors. Interested in joining the team, but still have a few questions? The president is a great place to start. Vice President - Alan Finder (finderal@msu.edu) The vice president is in charge of everything that nobody else wants to do. He handles the money and membership, fills out a lot of paperwork and generally makes sure stuff happens. If you email the president and get redirected to the vice president, that means you've found a task that nobody likes! Just kidding. The vice president is a key role in keeping MSU Triathlon as one of the best organized teams in the sport. Sponsorship Coordinator - Alissa Thompson (thomp786@msu.edu) As sponsorship coordinator, this officer interacts with companies that have an interest in supporting MSU Triathlon either financially or with product support. Over the years, our great sponsors have included a major bank, bike and wetsuit companies and triathlon retailers. As the premiere collegiate triathlon team, MSU Triathlon offers great opportunities for your company, regardless of the business. If you're interested in more information about sponsorships, feel free to contact or sponsorship coordinator. Event Operations - Matt Inch (inchmatt@msu.edu) The Event Operations Officer is in charge of ensuring that MSU Triathlon events are completely set up the day of an event and that the day itself runs smoothly. They organize all volunteers for the event and make sure that they aren't slacking as well as taking care of event registration. They act as the liaison between the club and anybody else involved in the event. Promotions/Publicity - Katelyn Schermerhorn (scherme6@msu.edu) This position is completely devoted to promoting the club and club events. Creating and organizing flier distributions as well as contacting potentially interested groups for our events is a huge priority. They also promote the club around campus and to potentially interested groups to increase club membership.
Race Sponsorships - Justin Koziatek (koziate1@msu.edu) The Race Sponsorship Officer will organize anything for the day of the event that comes from an outside source. This will include obtaining food donations for the race, as well as obtaining and organizing awards/prizes for participants. Any other perks that we provide for racers and volunteers is their responsibility.
